Courteney has a range of expertise in the childcare and education sectors and has specialised in the childcare sector since 1999, providing valuation, transactional and consultative advice to operators, banks and investors. In one capacity or another, she has been involved in virtually every major UK day nursery transaction since 2006. Working with owners of single settings, regional and national groups, across the UK and internationally, Courteney has insight into current trends across global childcare markets, including levels of market demand, supply and operational sustainability. Courteney advises on other UK-based child-centred businesses including residential special educational needs schools, children’s homes, independent schools and foster care businesses. She sits on the National Day Nurseries Association board as a co-opted trustee, and is frequently invited to speak at international conferences and seminars.
