Empowering education: Uniting investors and operators

John leads Nesta’s work backing ventures that align with its healthy life mission. He started his investment career at Merrill Lynch, before moving to become a founding partner at the investment fund Corin Capital. After a decade in the City, John moved to The Young Foundation, working on supporting and catalysing innovation in healthcare. He then moved to Nesta, where before joining the impact investment team he led on digital health strategy as well as contributing to a variety of programmes supporting innovators and influencing thinking and policy in health. John is a board director for Nesta investments Third Space Learning and Oomph, and observer for Skin Analytics and ProFinda. He is a trustee of the Swaziland Charitable Trust and oversees a small hill farm in the borders of Scotland.
