Kieran is a Partner in Crowe's VAT group with more than 20 years’ experience in both HM Revenue & Customs and the professional practice. He has spent the past 17 years at Crowe where he specialises in providing VAT advice in the social purpose and non profit sector. His experience supporting a vast array of organisations includes international and local charities, independent schools, colleges, specialist schools and academies.

Kieran’s advice for independent schools ranges from dealing with large property transactions and building projects, providing advice on partial exemption methods, to applying for rulings in relation to transactions not currently covered by HMRC’s guidance. Kieran has also provided training courses covering the basics of VAT for schools for those new to the sector.  More recently, as a result of the current political changes Kieran has assisted clients in the sector with modelling exercises to help schools to plan.
