Rebecca Gray - Taaleem

Rebecca Gray

Chief education officer, Taaleem

Rebecca began her teaching career in the London borough of Tower Hamlets, during which time she progressed into senior leadership positions. Rebecca went on to broaden her leadership experience across a range of locations within the UK, during which time she also achieved the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH).

Rebecca went on to serve as a Headteacher in Northamptonshire and later became the founding Principal of a Preparatory School, establishing its vision, culture, and academic foundations, during this time she was also appointed as the Improvement Cluster Lead for the David Ross Education Trust, where she drove whole-school improvement across eight schools spanning Primary, Secondary, and Special Needs provision.

In 2016, Rebecca relocated to the United Arab Emirates to pursue an international leadership opportunity. She joined the Kings’ group as Principal of Kings’ School Al Barsha, a large and expanding all-through British curriculum school for students aged 3–18. She was later promoted to a dual role, combining Principalship with the position of Director of Education for the Kings’ Group, overseeing educational strategy and quality across the organisation.

After seven years with Kings’ Education, Rebecca transitioned to Taaleem in August 2023 as Director of Education. She was appointed Chief Education Officer the following year and is incredibly proud to now lead on educational excellence across the group’s US, IB, UK and French portfolio of 35 schools whilst also driving the expansion of existing Taaleem schools as well as the opening of new campuses, most notably the introduction of Harrow International Schools to both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
